Dr. Vivian Chau
Dr. Vivian Chau is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. A proud native of the Lower Mainland, she is proud to return home to serve the community where her journey began.
Dr. Chau earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia, followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, was awarded the Merit Scholarship, and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society in recognition of her academic and clinical excellence.
She completed her surgical residency at the University of Minnesota, receiving extensive training in full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting, orthodontic-related surgery, oral pathology, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, IV sedation and general anesthesia.
Known for her calm demeanor, clear communication, and compassionate approach, Dr. Chau strives to make every patient feel informed, supported, and at ease. She values strong partnerships with referring dentists and physicians to ensure seamless, collaborative care.
Outside of her surgical practice, Dr. Chau enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and cheering on the Vancouver Canucks.
